• When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?

  When I got my first job as an academic English instructor, I came across a material on writing different types of sentences that made me say to myself "Wow! This is gold! I wish someone had taught me that!" Seeing my students later use the principles I taught them and noticing the amazing difference it made in the quality of their writing gave me enormous pleasure. Since then I have devoted myself with passion to the art of assisting international students improve their language skills, particularly speaking and writing.

• What makes you passionate about your subject?

  I don't see myself as merely a teacher. I believe I am helping people make their dreams come true. That's what I do for a living. We all have dreams: mastering a language, graduating from a reputable university in North America, getting a good job, developing a rewarding career, obtaining wealth, achieving tremendous success, providing for our families...I help individuals fulfill their dreams, and that's amazing!

• What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?

  Tutoring gives me an opportunity to touch someone on an individual level. I can better know the person who is seeking help, which allows me to tailor the content and methodology to the student's needs. Consequently , better results are achieved, and both the student and I are happy.

• Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

  I have worked with amazing people throughout m career and a few of them have had a more powerful impression on me. Shelley was someone who worked extremely hard to provide the best learning experience to her students, and her devotion surely impressed me. Lisa was not only quite fun and caring but also extremely knowledgeable.

• What are your keys to success?

  Hard work and a positive attitude can take you all the way.
