About Alejandro
I am a professional translator and language teacher. Since I started my career I have come upon many students who had a wide variety of goals and the way to reach them has not always been the same.
However, most of the time I have seen teachers trying to help them, it has been in a strongly methodological manner that never seemed to click with them. Every student has a different way to tackle the language, and so we teachers need to be able to adapt to their needs and personality.
That is what I have been doing for the last four years: finding the right way for each one of them to learn the language.

The usual approach when learning a new language tends to rely a bit too much on grammar. However, what is lacking later on in the learning process is the actual use of the language and how to express yourself in different situations. Always depending on the needs of my student, I focus on conversation and making the student as used to the language as possible in a warm and safe environment where they can express themselves constantly without worrying about their mistakes. Learning a new language is always hard, but there is always a way to make things easier.
Also, my background as a professional translator allows me to portray the differences between languages and also all they have in common (which sometimes is more than we think).
I can help you in several ways, such as:
- Improving your oral expression.
- Improving your writing and reading skills.
- Getting in touch with the language.
- Improving your grades or preparing for exams.
- Getting you ready for a visit to Spain.
- Preparing yourself for an interview in Spanish.
