About Reagan
As a high school teacher and former college student, I understand how the task of writing an essay can be overwhelming, anxiety inducing, and generally stressful. My tutoring aims to build your confidence in writing, while also giving you a second set of eyes to proofread and support your writing. Together we will set a goal not only to improve your essay's final grade, but also build your confidence as a writer and a student. I worked for 4 years as a college writing tutor, and created a passion for helping students find their voice through their writing, whether it was creative or scientific. During this time, I learned the proper formats for MLA and APA and received specialized training for grammar.

With a passion for writing, my typical teaching method focuses on strengthening writer's voice as we take a team approach to add further content and depth to your writing. This may include reading your writing out loud together, or using conversation to push your thoughts and idea further. A typical lesson will involve first proofreading for grammatical, syntax, and formatting errors, then move towards strengthening the content of the essay using various research and outlining techniques. We can work with a completed essay that is almost ready for the submit button, or just a few bullet points. I specialize in college level essay writing for all topics, but have the most content to support the humanities topics.
