About Ruby beckwith
I have tutored people of all ages and skills levels, whether they be friends in my grade, or elementary students. I strive to establish a safe and growth-oriented environment. I have an undeniable work ethic. I have done volunteer work since I was 14 and I maintain my grades in my mostly honors and AP classes.

As a tutor, I adjust and tinker my teaching methods according to the student and what best suites them. Generally, I like to do an overview of the lesson and mark any areas of difficulty for that student. At the end of the overview, we go back to the marked topics and work them out until the student feels comfortable with all aspects of the lesson. As a student myself, I can relate to other students and level with them during lessons so they do not feel intimidated or nervous by my presence. I try to make the tutoring sessions a rewarding experience and leave students with more confidence in the topic than they initially started with. My focus is mainly on middle school and elementary school students.
