About Justin
I love learning about the natural world around me. This love for science was ignited in me as a kid and has blossomed into a career of not only learning about the natural world myself but also sharing that knowledge with others and building relationships along the way. In college, I studied molecular biology and biotechnology. It was here, in college, that I first had the opportunity to tutor. I loved it. After college, I started tutoring and teaching and working on a M.S. degree in Biology with an Emphasis in Education. I currently work full-time as a high school science teacher at a private school in Florida, sharing my passion for science and mentoring the next generation.

My approach to teaching is very student-oriented. I believe that engaging with the material is critical for student learning. I also believe in giving active lessons where the students are being asked to participate and think critically through the material. I enjoy explaining scientific concepts in different ways to ensure that the student truly understands. Not only do I help students understand content, I also equip them with tools for studying on their own.
