About Alen
I recently graduated with honors from Glenbrook South High School, and am headed towards the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign to study Computer Engineering. My passion for mathematics and science has led me through this path, and part of that passion is spreading my knowledge to others seeking it.
Over the dozens of students I have tutored at my school, I have focused on the individual needs of each student and to cater to them the best experience possible.

I begin by talking with parents and guardians about the student's current level of education, their favorite subjects, and hobbies. Each student is different and this can help optimize my lessons.
A typical lesson will consist of a small quiz about topics learned in previous lessons, an instructional period where I teach a new subject or review what the student has done in class, and finally, a practice period where the student works through problem sets I provide.
I was a straight-A high school student and took around 11 AP courses. In addition, I have worked as a volunteer tutor at my high school's library and as a student researcher at Argonne National Lab. These experiences will help me bring a newer dimension of learning beyond the classroom.
My lessons are for students from elementary to high school, who are seeking help in math, science, and history.
