About Avshalom
Among other things i'm a born math enthusiast, you could say i'm left- brained, which I probably inherited from my father. I really started to get fascinated with math when i was accepted to Algebra 1 in 7th grade, when i started to realize just how much possibilities exist in this subject. I love playing around with graphing calculators, especially those high tech new ones that came out in the recent years. I also love developing python programs that can solve the math problems themselves, which is always a fun challenge. I'm proud to say i got accepted to a math and STEM hub, NJIT, although i left eventually to continue in a different college, although i will always remember my experience there. Other than math, i'm also into sports like powerlifting, and have a new obsession with competitive arm wrestling. Currently i'm in a limbo at home, waiting to get back to college next semester after taking a break during Quarantine. Because i have so much free time, i'm looking for a job to be more productive. Anyway, I hope to get started with being your tutor, and giving you all the help you need!

I like to make sure my clients fully understand the math topics they're working on. This means reinforcing the basics when needed, along with exploring all aspects of new lessons you're currently learning in school. A typical lesson would begin with precursor information needed to understand the lesson, followed by re-explaining and clarifying the lesson learned that day or week in school, doing some sample problems, helping out with homework, and then additional practice if needed. Whether or not i'll check the answers to be correct or give more thorough help with assignments and homework depends on the rules of your math classes in your own school. I can teach everything (in math) up to and including precalculus, with some sprinkle of basic Calculus, although do not expect help with any AP or honors Calculus, or Calculus above Calculus 1.
