About Emily
98.85 ATAR | Chemistry, Biology & Mathematics Tutor (Years 7–12, Adelaide) Hello! My name is Emily and I’m a first-year student at Monash University, currently studying a Bachelor of Biomedical Science. I live at Mannix College, the residential college at Monash, and graduated from Seymour College in 2024 with an ATAR of 98.85. Here are my top three subjects and results: • Chemistry: A+ (19.60 / 20) • Mathematical Methods: A+ (19.40 / 20) • Biology: A (19.20 / 20) Other Stage 2 subjects I studied include: • English • Economics • Research Project B I’m a calm and patient tutor who focuses on helping students truly understand the concepts, not just memorize them. I like to break things down step-by-step and explain them in simple terms, using real-life examples wherever I can. I tailor my sessions to suit each student’s needs and learning style, whether that’s revising content, walking through practice questions, or building exam confidence. I can help with Chemistry, Biology, and Math for Years 7–12, whether you’re aiming to improve your grades, build confidence, or prepare for tests and exams. I’ve recently gone through the SACE system myself, so I understand how to structure responses, manage time under pressure, and stay motivated. I’m here to support you and help you reach your goals!

I aim to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My teaching style is calm and adaptable. I break down complex concepts into simpler parts, use real-life examples when possible, and adjust my approach depending on the student’s learning style.
Lessons typically run for one hour, and I like to structure them around the student’s specific needs, whether that’s revising difficult topics, going through practice questions, or preparing for upcoming tests.
Although I’ve mostly tutored friends and peers in the past, I’ve always loved helping others understand their subjects and find confidence in their learning.
My lessons are suitable for students from Years 1 to 12, and I’m especially confident tutoring Chemistry, Biology, and Maths.
