About Mariam
Hi, I’m Mariam, an experienced tutor with over five years of teaching experience across Key Stage 3 and 4, National 3/4/5, SATs, AP, and IB curricula. I specialize in Science and all core subjects, and I tailor my lessons to each student’s learning style, focusing on clarity, understanding, and exam success. I completed O Levels with 9 A/A*s and A Levels with 6 A/A*s, giving me a strong foundation to help students excel. My goal is to help students build confidence, develop independent learning skills, and achieve their academic potential in a supportive and structured environment.

My tutoring approach focuses on clarity, understanding, and exam-ready skills. I aim to make learning engaging by breaking down complex concepts into manageable, easy-to-understand steps, using real-world examples, guided practice, and interactive problem-solving. I encourage students to ask questions, think critically, and apply knowledge, ensuring they not only learn content but also develop confidence and independent learning skills.
A typical lesson begins with a brief recap of previous material, followed by introduction of new topics with explanations and examples, then practice exercises or exam-style questions tailored to the student’s level. I finish each session with a summary and targeted homework to reinforce understanding. My teaching methods are adaptable for students with different learning styles, whether they need foundational support or advanced challenge.
I have over five years of tutoring experience across Key Stage 3–4 Science, all Key Stage subjects, National 3/4/5, SATs, AP, and IB. This range allows me to teach students from upper primary to secondary school, across both UK and international curricula. What sets me apart is my strong academic record, combined with a structured, patient approach that focuses on building confidence, mastery of concepts, and exam success.
