About Smity
I am a mechanical engineering student at the University of Melbourne and have been helping my mates in mathematics for several years. Since they all praise my teaching skills, I decided to go for formal tutoring. I regularly volunteer with Robogals to teach students aged 6-16 years about basic robotics programming.

I am very patient and flexible. Being a student at university, I understand both the tutor's and the student's perspective of learning and I apply different methods to suit each student. I always take the time to understand the student's learning style. Having the student to love what she/he is studying achieves much more than teaching could solely achieve.
I always teach my students 'how to think' instead of 'what to think'.
I generally discuss with the students and parents to develop realistic goals and improvement plans
