About Sofia
Hi! I’m a high-achieving A-Level student studying Maths, Chemistry and Biology, with the aspiration of studying Medicine in the future. I achieved Grade 9s at GCSE and am currently working at A* in all three subjects giving me a strong understanding of the GCSE curriculum and what it takes to succeed in exams. I want to teach because I genuinely enjoy helping others understand challenging topics and grow in confidence. Having recently sat my own GCSEs, I know the pressures students face and how to explain concepts in a clear, relatable way. I focus on creating a calm, supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I am organised, reliable and committed to helping each student reach their full potential. Whether a student needs help building foundations or is aiming for top grades, I take a professional and encouraging approach to every lesson.

Hi there! My lessons are structured, supportive and tailored to each student’s needs. I focus on explaining topics clearly, working through examples together and using GCSE-style exam questions to build confidence and strong exam skills. I place a strong emphasis on GCSE mark schemes, common exam mistakes and effective revision techniques, helping students achieve the highest possible grades. Lessons typically last 60 minutes, though longer sessions can be arranged if preferred. This allows students plenty of time for practice, questions and consolidation. As a high-achieving A-Level student, currently working at A* in Maths and Chemistry and having achieved Grade 9s at GCSE, I understand the GCSE curriculum and what examiners look for. I have experience supporting peers and younger students in a patient and encouraging way. My lessons are online and are suitable for GCSE students (ages 14-16) of all abilities. I am also happy to support younger students if needed.
