About Mai
I am a student myself as well who is eager to inspire and motivate you throughout your journey with a tutor that will give you the best of teachings! I want to make sure you achieve the most that you can and even possibly reach higher with the hard work that I myself as a tutor and you as a student can put in. I believe that everyone deserves a second chance and a friendlier approach to learning than being educationally set as if we are in a harsh school setting.

I will be focusing on tutoring primary school children as well as secondary school level from Year 3-Year 11. I can also help with exam preparation for both SATs and GCSEs, helping you to understand topics that you may previously have struggled with as well as further areas of study that you may require. For new students, I will be holding a free trial for 30 minutes to get to know each other better as well as letting me know about all the things that you need to work towards to and what you want to learn. Lessons would usually last around 45 minutes to an hour and this can further be discussed depending on how much you may need to learn or the help you would like. So the lessons will consist of a chat to get to know each other followed by a review of progress which will also be passed onto parents/carers. This will consist of strengths and weaknesses with the chance to inform me of what you would also like to work on in future lessons that you join. Furthermore, this will take us to the main part of the session which will be either a task assigned to you or some teaching that I will have to do. If we do finish this section early, we may also play a fun game to end the lesson happily.
