About William
Hey there! I’m Will, a student at UW–Madison with 9 years of guitar experience. I perform live in a band at college, and have experience teaching beginner and intermediate players to play the music they love. I also study music theory and chord progressions in my free time and hope to be a songwriter one day! Whether you’re picking up the guitar for the first time or want to level up your playing, I’ll tailor lessons to your goals and style. My typical lessons revolve around learning the chords and strumming patterns. I like my students to practice with songs they love so it's easier for them to get in the groove and enjoy it! Music is more fun when you love what you play! For more experienced players, I specialize in finger picking songs like BlackBird by the Beatles and Landslide by Fleetwood Mac. Im a very patient person and understand that it takes time to learn new things so no need to worry on that end!
