About Charouka
Picture yourself walking into a busy Montreal cafe and ordering your coffee with the perfect accent. That clarity is the primary goal for the hobbyists and intermediate learners who join my sessions.
We use role play and dialogue practice to make the language feel like a natural extension of your own voice. My teaching is deeply rooted in the chanson tradition, so we break down lyrics from icons like Vigneault and Leloup to improve your writing skills. Learning French started for me by listening to the radio while driving across the province. To be honest, I mostly just wanted to mimic the way singers shaped their vowels. I have spent 10 years gigging the chanson circuit, which means my ear for pronunciation is quite sharp.
