About Bernice

Hello! I’m a passionate and patient tutor dedicated to helping primary school students succeed in English and Bahasa Melayu. My goal is to make learning enjoyable, meaningful, and suited to each student’s unique pace and ability. I believe that every child has the potential to excel when given the right guidance and encouragement. Through my volunteer teaching experiences with underprivileged and slower-learning students, I’ve developed a teaching style that combines patience, empathy, and creativity. I focus on strengthening understanding through interactive activities, clear explanations, and consistent practice. Each lesson typically lasts 1 to 1.5 hours, and I ensure that students leave every class feeling more confident and motivated. I was a straight A’s SPM student and am currently pursuing a Psychology degree at Monash University (Australia and Malaysia). My background in psychology also helps me understand students’ learning behaviors and tailor my approach to their individual needs. I take pride in being reliable, approachable, and committed to helping students achieve their goals—academically and personally. About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses on creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where every student feels confident and motivated. I believe that every child learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to suit each student’s individual pace, strengths, and areas for improvement. I often use interactive activities, real-life examples, and simple explanations to help students understand key concepts in English and Bahasa Melayu. For students who struggle with certain topics, I break lessons into smaller, manageable steps and provide plenty of encouragement to build confidence. A typical lesson lasts about 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on the student’s needs and attention span. I also like to include short review sessions and practice exercises to reinforce learning. I have volunteering experience tutoring underprivileged and slow-learning students, which taught me the importance of patience, empathy, and creative teaching methods. My lessons are designed for primary school students or younger, especially those who need extra guidance in their academic journey. My goal is to help students not only improve their grades but also develop a genuine interest in learning.
