About Saurav
Hello! My name is Saurav Ghising, and I have a Master’s degree in English. I have a strong academic background in literature and language, but what truly defines me is my passion for learning, expression, and creativity. As a tutor, I teach English up to the undergraduate level, with a focus on literature, grammar, essay writing, and critical analysis. My lessons are tailored to the student’s level—whether simplifying key concepts for school learners or encouraging in-depth discussions and analytical writing for undergraduates. I use interactive methods like close reading, guided discussion, and practice exercises to make learning engaging and effective. Outside the classroom, I am a musician and songwriter with years of live performance experience. My love for music and literature often informs my teaching, as I believe both are powerful tools of self-expression and interpretation. This creative perspective allows me to connect with students not just academically, but also personally, inspiring them to see language as something alive and meaningful. My lessons are ideal for students from Class 9 to undergraduate level, or anyone looking to improve their English skills with patience, clarity, and creativity.

Teaching Method & Techniques:
My teaching style adapts to the level of the learner. For school students, I simplify concepts with examples, interactive discussions, and structured writing practice. For higher secondary and undergraduates, I focus on critical reading, literary analysis, theory application, and academic writing techniques. I believe in breaking down complex texts into accessible ideas while encouraging independent thought and interpretation.
Typical Lesson Plan:
A lesson begins with a quick review of the previous topic to ensure retention. Then we move to the core material—close reading of a text, grammar or writing drills, or exam-focused discussions. I often use questions, short activities, and model essays to make learning active. Each session ends with a recap and small tasks for practice, so progress feels consistent and measurable.
