About Isobel
Hi, I’m Isobel – a qualified Science teacher with a background in Biology and Psychology. I’ve always loved learning about how the body and mind work, and I’m passionate about making science engaging and accessible for everyone. I’ve taught KS3, KS4, and A-Level Biology, and I’m currently doing a PhD in Psychology. I tailor lessons to each student – whether that’s building exam confidence, strengthening understanding, or practising tricky topics. Outside of teaching, I play lacrosse, go to the gym, and love a good book. I tutor because I genuinely enjoy helping students grow in confidence and reach their goals.

My tutoring approach is flexible and tailored to each student’s individual needs and learning style. Whether it's improving exam technique, deepening theoretical understanding, or practising calculations, I adapt my lessons to support specific goals. Lessons are typically one hour long and can be adjusted depending on focus and availability. I teach Science at KS3 and KS4, and specialise in A-Level Biology. I hold a degree in Biology, a Master’s in Cognitive Neuroscience, a PGCE in Secondary Biology, and I’m currently completing a PhD in Psychology. With both classroom and one-to-one tutoring experience, I aim to create a supportive and engaging environment that builds confidence and helps students achieve their full potential.
