About Mathias
I began tutoring while studying during the IB. I found myself receiving messages and photos asking for help with specific questions or topics, and at times going to friends' houses to teach them, particularly in IB Mathematics AA HL and IB Physics HL. Additionally, I was part of my school's IGCSE support sessions, in which I taught students math and sciences for the IGCSE level.
Through these experiences, I became genuinely passionate about taking an initially overwhelming concept and then conveying the intuition to others, which allowed them to then perceive it as simple
Because I completed the IGCSE exam board two years ago and the IB exam board no less than 2-weeks ago, I am well familiarized with the current curricula (which is especially helpful for IB physics and chemistry, considering 2025 was the year of the new syllabus for both subjects).

I can teach physics, math, and chemistry at IB & IGCSE levels. I'm an Imperial Physics offer holder with a predicted grade of 45 (HL Math, AA/Phys/Chem) and an A* in IGCSE Additional Math, as well as 9s in both Chemistry and Physics.
I will center my classes around conveying an intuitive understanding of the topics at hand, whether that be physics, math, or chemistry. An intuitive understanding is one of the simplest ways to improve a student's grades, as well as allow them to gain confidence and improve their academic abilities beyond the syllabus at hand.
The duration of lessons will typically be 60 minutes; however, if shorter or longer lessons are desired, that can easily be arranged.
