About Marina
I am a historian specialising in Arabic and Hebrew cultures. I love working as an educator and as a cultural professional, which are the fields in which I have worked the most. For this reason I feel very comfortable and enjoy teaching humanities and social sciences.
I also have experience as an after-school English teacher using the Montessori Method, with students from 3 to 12 years old, and my entire professional career has been linked to my knowledge of history, art and languages: I have been an English teacher (as I mentioned), cultural manager in a cultural cooperation centre abroad, manager of an art website, English teacher again, and assistant and research fellow in the library of the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum.

My name is Marina, I am 26 years old and I have a degree in Humanities with a major in History. I live in Zeanuri (Bizkaia) and I offer to give history and humanities classes as school support, for students in primary school, E.S.O, and in preparation for Selectividad.
My proposal is to propose didactic exercises that entertain the student, interspersed with theory and anecdotes that help to retain the content. I will ask him/her about what we are studying, not with the aim of examining him/her, but with the intention of helping him/her to understand what we are seeing, and so that he/she likes it.
I can also dedicate classes to learning and perfecting the way to do historical text commentaries, a task that is required in Selectividad and Bachiller and which is not usually easy.
As far as children are concerned, I am good at talking to them and capturing their attention, I have experience and a lot of patience, as I have worked as an English teacher in an academy with Montessori method for a year, with students from 3 to 12 years old. I also have younger siblings who I often look after, and a sister with Down's Syndrome, who I have been helping with her learning since I was a child. In the classes I will make sure that they don't get bored, and that they understand learning as something fun and that makes them feel proud to know what we are learning. xD
