About Andrew
Having been a voracious reader and keen student of literature from a young age, I love inspiring others with the same passion that has been so rewarding and formative in my own life.
In 2015 I graduated with Merit from my English Literature MA at University College London, where I specialised in Shakespeare. In the years since then I have harnessed this knowledge and experience in my work as a freelance tutor, covering academic levels ranging from secondary school all the way up to university. Alongside this, I have also enjoyed working as a writer and editor (most recently creating academic study guides for university students).
I was tutored at home for years during my own education, as I have struggled with myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) from a young age. I therefore have first-hand experience of how transformative tuition can be, and I've carried this empathy and perspective forward into my own tutoring practice.

I like to be creative, caring, and approachable in my tutoring, while always aiming to foster a high level of academic attainment. My approach is uniquely tailored to each student, creating a calm learning environment that allows a true love of the academic subject to blossom.
For an engaging and collaborative learning experience, I use a powerful virtual whiteboard for my online lessons.
I have had the privilege of seeing the powerful impact that patient, individualised tuition can have on students’ confidence and subsequent achievements.
