About Claire
I am currently studying Health Data Analytics and Machine Learning at Imperial College London and hold a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science. With over five years of tutoring experience, I have helped students at GCSE, A-Level, and undergraduate level build confidence, improve their understanding, and achieve their academic goals. I specialise in GCSE Mathematics, French, and Science, as well as GCSE, A-Level, and undergraduate Biology.

Whilst I have a genuine passion for learning and enjoy sharing that enthusiasm with others, I recognise that the traditional examination system does not suit every student. High-pressure exams and rigid mark schemes can often make academic success feel more challenging than it needs to be. Having experienced this myself at times, I understand the importance of building confidence alongside subject knowledge. My tutoring approach focuses on developing a deep understanding of the material rather than simply memorising facts for an exam. I believe that when students truly understand a subject and begin to enjoy it, academic success naturally follows. Alongside improving subject knowledge, I help students develop effective exam techniques and strategies to maximise their performance. My lessons typically last one hour in which I initially try to gauge a student's understanding of a topic, and then through the use of videos, presentations and activities, try to increase that knowledge and understanding.
