About Chirag

Completed my Undergraduate from University of Delhi. Did various internships in various firms and different sectors that include Honda 2-Wheelers, K5 Brand Solutions, Preboards:Boards Before Boards, etc. Apart from this, I was appointed as the Media President of Delhi University Students Union (DUSU). I learned many things from these experiences. i.e; mentoring, leadership, patience, etc.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology is simple and student centered. I start according to the needs and requirements of my students. It is necessary to know the student's side so that he/she is also comfortable in discussing their weak areas. It's important to have an interactive discussion with the students.

Perfect! So glad I could connect with Mr Chirag. My son is in grade 9 and he has taken up economics as his elective because he was / is interested in the subject. But the faculty at school had been of no help and he had begun to fear the subject. Mr Chirag took away that fear within the first couple of classes. Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?
The subjects i teach are mainly related to commerce stream i.e; Economics(Micro-Macro), Business Studies, Accountancy, Marketing, Finance, Statistics & Mathematics(QA, LR, DI). Commerce education is a type of training which develops the required knowledge, attitudes and skills for successful heading of trade, commerce and industry. Education serves socio-economic development of any country or a region.
Making these subjects as a part of their daily life, having relevance for their future careers, gaining knowledge through multiple sources, understanding their interests developed my interest.
What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?
My main motivation behind teaching students were my high school tutors who taught me Commerce. I saw the way they used to teach students, put efforts with every student whether the student is weak, average or good. Main reason behind the motivation is the satisfaction teachers get by the appraisal of parents and students after the results of his students.
How does your work help society?
Teachers truly are the backbone of society. They are role model to education, offer guidance and dedication and give young people the power of education. Because of teachers, countries are able to further develop socially and economically. Teachers have those leadership and role model qualities that helps to learn, grow and model the values & traits that teachers possess.
If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?
A role model is a person who inspires and encourages us to strive for greatness, live to our fullest potential & see the best in ourselves. A role model can be anybody; parents, siblings, teachers, friends or anybody who has the strength to influence and change our lives.
My role model is my dad. He is the one who inspires me and impacts my life in the most profound way. He shares with me a very deep relationship which i consider to be a blessing. He is the person who believed in me and pushed me to try everything in life & not to back away from anything that came as a challenge. His constant dedication towards my interests and hobbies motivated me to pursue the same with more enthusiasm.
Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.
A hobby is an activity, interest or pastime that is undertaken for pleasure or relaxation, done during one's own time. My hobbies include playing indoor games with my siblings/parents, travelling with friends, solving interesting queries related to my subjects and then preparing them for my students.
Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?
There have been many instances during my school and college time that I can share with everyone. But, I don't like them to be public. I would like to share them personally with my students.
