I usually follow the scheme of work for effective delivery, but sometimes, I observe my students to understand what they really need. Then, I can now choose to work from the bases rather than jumping into the subject. For example; the scheme might require the students to learn algebra, whereas, the students are finding it difficult to solve simple and complex fractions, even using BODMAS or PEMDAS might also be one of their challenges, so in this scenario, I will need to go along with improving what they need to know.
