Emma is kind and gentle. She has a calming aura which makes everyone feel comfortable and at ease. Her smile is contagious and I can imagine her classroom being a very happy place to learn and explore! I also think it’s important to note that Emma has done a lot of work getting to know herself, understanding boundaries, and thinking over what it is that would make her happy in this next season of her life. I believe this is very important when gaining the trust of children (and their parents). Emma understands that being a part of developing character and building confidence in children is an important piece of their learning adventure. She will build trust in a fun and meaningful way, and her “kids” will always remember her!

I would highly recommend Emma for several reasons. She loves to read and write which translates into a critical thinker. She really enjoys kids and helping them learn as well as helping break the barriers to their own success. And she had excellent English teachers all the way through her school years.( Know because I"m her mom). It shows now in her college essays and personal writing she shares with me and others. I highly recommend Emma for Academic English lessons because I have watched her help others ease the discomfort and frustration so many kids have around writing. She has an innate ability to get her thoughts from her head to paper and can help students find their voice and put it on paper, while also teaching them how the writing process works including AP style rules, grammar and sentence structure and working with an outline.

Emma is one of the most patient and caring people I know. She is very understanding and shows a lot of passion for her work with helping others achieve their goals as a school teacher and is always someone willing to go the extra mile to help. 10/10 would reccomend to anyone looking for a tutor that is smart, driven, and dedicated to the success of any student she teaches.
