About Amir
I’m a theoretical physicist with a deep passion for both research and teaching. After completing my Ph.D. at Johns Hopkins University and working in academia across North America, I’ve recently relocated to the UK and am excited to connect with students here. My research spans astrophysics, statistical physics, and plasma physics, but I’ve always found joy in breaking down complex ideas and helping others discover the beauty of mathematics and physics. Teaching allows me to share that excitement—whether it’s guiding a student through algebra-based physics or exploring the elegance of quantum mechanics. I believe learning is most powerful when it’s interactive, intuitive, and rooted in curiosity, and I’m eager to combine my research background with hands-on teaching to support learners at all levels.

I offer lessons in both mathematics and physics, tailored to a wide range of levels—from foundational concepts to advanced theory. In mathematics, I cover everything from arithmetic, geometry, and algebra to calculus, differential equations, and linear algebra. In physics, I teach algebra-based and calculus-based general physics, classical mechanics, electrodynamics, thermodynamics, statistical mechanics, quantum theory, and even advanced topics like path integrals and nonlinear dynamics.
Whether you're preparing for exams, tackling university coursework, or simply curious about the deeper structure of the physical world, I aim to make complex ideas clear, intuitive, and engaging.
