About Dan
I’m a passionate tutor with a BEng in Mechanical Engineering and two postgraduate degrees, specialising in Maths and STEM for students aged 10–16, up to GCSE level. I make lessons engaging with clear explanations, practical examples, and interactive problem-solving, helping students build confidence and enjoy learning. Outside of tutoring, I love playing tennis, exploring new countries (over 40 so far!), and experimenting in the kitchen. I bring energy, curiosity, and a sense of fun to every session, making sure students feel supported, motivated, and excited to tackle challenges and achieve their goals.

My tutoring style is friendly, patient, and tailored to each student’s needs. I focus on building understanding through clear explanations, practical examples, and plenty of encouragement. Lessons typically last between 30 minutes and 1 hour, with content adapted for ages 10–16, up to GCSE level. Holding a BEng in Mechanical Engineering and two postgraduate degrees, I bring strong subject knowledge in Maths and STEM. I use a mix of problem-solving, real-world applications, and interactive exercises to make learning engaging. Each session is designed to boost confidence, fill knowledge gaps, and develop independent thinking skills, ensuring students feel supported and motivated to achieve their goals.
