About Cody
When I first discovered the guitar at the age of 17, I still remember vividly the first moment I struck my first chord playing along to Back in Black by AC/DC. Since then as I have taught my students throughout the years, I always seek to recreate that moment with them. That satisfaction they get when their faces light up showing that they too can play their favorite songs! I learned from several tutors along the way (some who were efficient and some... not so much), and with my experience, I know what works and what doesn't. Under my tutelage, I want every moment to be fun and enlightening. For you to discover that same satisfaction I did all those years ago. When you learn under me, it's about what you desire and want out of the instrument. And with this, I concoct fully detailed lesson plans (at an affordable rate, because no one should have their rock and roll dreams hindered by expensive paywalls!) I go over the basics, from picking techniques, learning the notes of the fretboard, intervals, pentatonic scales, modes of the major scale, how to harmonize and make catchy melodies. To this day, I am still an avid and devoted learner and lover of all things music and with over 9 years of experience teaching students in person, I have decided to take my knowledge and capabilities to the Superprof online platform. Well, if you learn under my careful instruction all of that goes out the door. I don't just "teach" guitar. I show my students how to enjoy the instrument. Whether you draw inspiration from acoustic inspired classics performed by Taylor Swift, 90s Grunge, or 80s Hair Metal, I demonstrate how you can put yourself in the driver's seat.
