About Tania
I am a multi-instrumentalist with the guitar being my main instrument. I have played for over 30 years solo, as part of an ensemble and for the last few years as part of two gigging rock bands and an acoustic trio. I was initially classically trained in finger-picking guitar style, then over more recent years progressed to electric and acoustic rhythm guitar. I can read musical nomenclature as well as TAB. Over the years, I have acquired a variety of skills and approaches which I would like to use to help other budding guitarists flourish. My background is actually in Medicine. I am a GP and have taught many students in Medicine and was previously a University Tutor.

I would aim to tailor my teaching style to what the student responds best to, but my focus will be on making it fun. There will be a structured programme of lessons, starting with the basics, for complete beginners. Intermediate players may wish to use a song-by-song approach to learning, acquiring the different skills as they progress. I am happy to teach children and adults. I am fully DBS (enhanced) checked.
