About Rory
My name is Rory, I am 25 years old and have been playing guitar for well over 15 years now. I started playing when I was a child and grew up in a very musical family where there were always guitars and other instruments around. I have been in and out of bands and performed live on a few occasions. When I was a teenager I taught several of my friends how to play guitar and they have been playing ever since. Nowadays I am looking to put my guitar skills to good use as I feel that it is a brilliant hobby to have and can create opportunities that might not be there for those who don't play. It looks great on a CV or University application! I myself am very passionate about playing and would love the chance to share that with other people. I am easy going and would want to create a learning environment which is both informative and fun.

About the lesson

First we'll start with the basic chord shapes, before moving on to progression-types and scales. Don't worry if this sounds complicated, it's more simple than you think and easy to get the hang of once you get going! After this we can start learning the cool stuff like your favourite songs and riffs. Lessons can be anywhere between 30 minutes to 2 hours but I would recommend 1 hour lessons based on personal experience. As stated in my bio I have a National Certificate in Music Performance and Theory from West College Scotland so am familiar with the standard methods of guitar tutoring though I am largely self-taught and have been playing guitar proficiently since I was a child and could give you some tips and advice that you might not get in school or college too.
