About Arttu
Hello everyone! My name is Arttu. I am a Finnish citizen fluent in Finnish and English.
I started learning guitar when I was around 7. I started to compose and sing 10 years
ago and music production is something I started to learn over 7 years ago. I have done a Bachelor's degree
from the University of East London in Music performance and production and I also have a vocational degree in
music technology from Tampere conservatory. At the moment I play drums in an improvisational rock band
and I have played electric guitar and keys in multiple different installments throughout the years.
I have over 10 years of past teaching experience as a music teacher. Agewise, I have taught children and adults
from ages 4 to 55. I am teaching English and Finnish privately as well.
In general, I have a vast knowledge of different music genres, compositional techniques, production styles, and artists throughout history. I use different resources to teach my students effectively. I can teach anyone from beginners to advanced.

It all depends on the subjects taught, but I teach with different kinds of materials and ideas. Naturally, I use various media resources available in this day and age.
As online teaching might suffer from latency, I tend to focus mainly on dialogue-like playing going back and forth instead of trying to play together. For actual live playing, I can provide additional audio resources for the student to learn by themselves.
I want to help my students learn as effectively as they can without relying eternally on teachers to keep on learning things. I believe music is a discovery one must do for themselves as well and teachers can provide tools and support in that process.
