About Brian
Brian Honeycutt Bio
Brian Honeycutt has been delving into the world of music for as long as he can remember. Since the early 2000s, he has been active in releasing music through independent record labels and, more recently, through streaming services online. Brian also has a history of live performance, having done so in various bands. Brian started teaching electric and acoustic guitar in 2009, and has since helped many students along their musical journey.
Brian has been teaching music to children, teens, and adults since 2008. He has worked with youth in after school programs, summer camps, and even as a therapist. Brian's approach is an organic process that focuses on the personality and goals of the individual he is working with. His lessons are customized for each student based on their needs.
Brian has taught students everything from in-depth music theory to well-known songs. Each of us is unique, and the musical journey can be one that is at once healing, psychological, emotional, enjoyable, and highly individualistic.
Brian enjoys working with students of all ages, and has worked with students aged 5-65+.

Brian taught me guitar for over five years and gave me the gift of music. His lesson structure allowed for in depth learning of scales, modes, and the circle of fifths. In addition to his knowledge of music theory Brian is excellent at stoking creativity. I learned how to solo and improvise within scales and modes, a skill I still impress people with to this day. In addition to these great lessons I learned about song structure, music composition, physical techniques, finger picking, and various unique styles of play. Brian puts students first and is also just super chill to hang out with.
