About Amy
Raging Flowers is an indie pop artist from New Zealand. She makes emotional storytelling songs with an air of dark comedy that touches your heart. She’s a DIY one-woman band who writes, performs, and produces her songs.
Raging Flowers loves music from the 50s and 60s. She loves folk, soul, jazz, punk, rock, country, and blues. She's privately taught by highly accomplished musicians and coaches in guitar, singing, songwriting, and public speaking, giving her a unique blend of skills.
Her music is rapidly gaining popularity and recognition. Her debut single charted on the NZ RadioScope Alternative Airplay chart. Tissue Paper (unreleased) was awarded the First Prize in Out From The Mist 2024, an international arts competition for mental health awareness and the hope of recovery.
Before Raging Flowers started writing songs, she had a career in Tech. She got burnt out and took a career break where she became a professional Muay Thai fighter and fell in love with songwriting. She hopes to help others have a laugh about life's challenging situations through her songs.

Amy Wang, aka, Raging Flowers is a prize-winning singer-songwriter. She is privately taught by Auckland musicians in guitar, singing, and songwriting.
She teaches all ages and levels, from complete beginners to experienced musicians wanting to start their songwriting journies. She also hosts community songwriting workshops in Auckland. She is passionate, patient and friendly. She's most popular with girls wanting to play guitar and sing.
In-person lessons at your home in East and Central Auckland:
$70 for 1 hour lesson – in person or online
$15 travel fees – East Auckland, Panmure, Mt Wellington
$25 travel fees – Central Auckland
1 or 2 students allowed (same price)
Online lessons available
Half-guitar-half-singing lessons available
