About Elliott
"Teaching guitar remains the primary way I share the technical precision gained during my 13 years of playing and studio work. I focus on electric technique, scales and modes, and tuning and maintenance to ensure students understand their instrument inside and out. My Master of Music degree from McGill Schulich School of Music provides the academic rigor required to explain complex blues progressions clearly.
Developing songwriting ability and preparing for grade exams are also core components of my instruction. I prefer keeping sessions practical so that the music remains the central focus at all times. After years spent performing on stage, I have found that my direct approach helps students hear their own development almost immediately. I enjoy working with dedicated musicians who value clarity in their practice routines."

"Struggling to hear real progress is a common issue for students who rely on repetitive drills. Real growth happens when you apply techniques directly to the music you want to perform.
I provide a free trial session to assess your starting level and discuss your specific musical goals. We evaluate your current ability through a hands-on performance to determine the best path forward.
This assessment ensures that our time together stays focused on your unique trajectory. By identifying your exact needs early, I can build a logical sequence that moves you from your current plateau to your next stage of performance proficiency. We will measure success by the quality of the sound you produce in our very first hour together."
