About Charome
Total beginners often find that holding a pick correctly changes everything about their sound. I provide custom backing tracks so you can practice soloing at home just like you are playing with a full band.
Because of my 7 years of experience in the Montreal music scene, I focus on the practical side of being a musician. We work through grade exam prep if you need structure, or we can look at songwriting if you want to write your own material. My BM Popular Music degree informs every chord we look at, keeping things rooted in real music rather than just theory on paper.
I try to keep the atmosphere light while we sort out the technical requirements of your instrument. You will see that everything starts to click soon enough.

With a BM Popular Music degree from UdeM, I look at the fretboard as a landscape to explore. You might be struggling to find your sound, so I draw on my 8 years of gigging the Montreal folk scene to show you how chords connect. Over 321 students have worked through my methods, and I find it rewarding to help each person discover their own style.
We spend time on music theory and scales, but I ensure we keep the acoustic technique grounded in what actually makes a song work. Tuning and maintenance are just as important as the notes themselves, so we cover those basics early. It is a genuine pleasure to watch someone move from reading tabs to playing their own lead guitar parts with confidence.
