About Malcolm
I have 20+ years of experience teaching Guitar, and my passion for education continues to grow with every student I teach. I work with High School and College students and have successfully taught around 300-350 learners. Teaching so many students has been a major milestone in my career and has given me a strong foundation as an educator.
I believe the best lessons are those that make students feel motivated to learn more. I create a supportive environment where learners can develop their skills while feeling comfortable enough to make mistakes and ask questions.
My Guitar lessons include chords, scales, rhythm, strumming, finger techniques, music theory, song learning, and performance preparation. I explain concepts in simple steps and use practical exercises to make them easier to understand.
I also encourage students to explore music they enjoy. Favorite songs can make practice more exciting and help students understand how technical skills are used in real musical situations.
Teaching 300-350 students has helped me develop greater patience and flexibility. I have worked with students who learn at different speeds and have different goals. These experiences have taught me how to adjust lessons and provide the right encouragement.
One of the most satisfying parts of my career is seeing students gain independence. When they can practice a song, change chords smoothly, or perform confidently without constant help, it shows that they have developed real confidence.
I encourage students to set small goals and celebrate their progress. I also teach them that mistakes are natural and that consistent practice is the key to improvement.
My goal is to help students develop strong Guitar skills while also building creativity, discipline, patience, concentration, perseverance, and self-confidence.
I want every lesson to be an opportunity for growth. My aim is for students to finish each class feeling proud of what they have learned and motivated to continue.
I am proud of my teaching journey and grateful for every student who has trusted me. I look forward to continuing to inspire High School and College students and helping them develop a lifelong love for Guitar.

My Guitar teaching approach is clear, engaging, and focused on the needs of each student. I believe Guitar learning becomes easier when students understand the purpose of each lesson and can connect it with music they enjoy.
I begin with Communication by understanding the student's Guitar experience, goals, musical interests, favorite songs, and challenges. I encourage students to ask questions and share their ideas freely.
I use Adaptation to Learning Styles by combining demonstrations, chord diagrams, audio examples, written explanations, repetition, and practical exercises. I adjust the teaching method and pace based on the student's understanding and progress.
I use Real-life Examples and Case Studies from songs, performances, rehearsals, and songwriting. Students learn how chords, rhythm, scales, strumming, and picking are used in actual music. I also explain practical solutions to common Guitar problems.
My Guitar lessons include chords, rhythm guitar, strumming, fingerstyle, picking, scales, lead guitar, improvisation, music theory, ear training, songwriting, and performance preparation. Related subjects include Music Theory, Songwriting, Ear Training, Rhythm Training, Music Appreciation, Basic Composition, and Music Performance.
I provide regular feedback and simple practice goals. My aim is to help students build strong Guitar technique, confidence, creativity, musical understanding, and independent learning skills.
