About Tamara
"Picking up the guitar at age 5 set the trajectory for my entire life. I have spent 13 years gigging professionally across the Midwest to pay my dues.
Teaching students has become the absolute highlight of my weekly schedule. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Guitar from Berklee College of Music earned in 2019. Throughout 12 years of instructing, I have helped beginners and intermediate players alike. Many of my students come to me wanting to break out of pentatonic jail once and for all.
My approach is to treat the instrument as a vehicle for writing songs rather than just performance. I value clear communication above all else. Whether you are prepping for a grade exam or just want to write better tunes, I am here to help. Reach out if you want to start writing music together."

"Pacing is strictly managed to ensure you grasp the material before moving forward. You will receive direct feedback on strumming, fingerpicking, and theory concepts during our time together. My 12 years of gigging inform how I troubleshoot difficult technique issues quickly. Teens and intermediate players find this process helps them connect theory to actual song structure.
