About Charlo
"Scales and modes become second nature once you stop looking at the fretboard as a puzzle and start hearing the intervals. I remember the exact moment a student realized that chord transitions are just shapes moving through space.
Holding a Certificate from the Old Town School of Folk Music influences how I teach electric technique and soloing. Having worked with 195 students including kids and working professionals I have seen many people find their voice. It is rewarding to watch a performance-focused student bridge the gap between technical strumming patterns and true musical improvisation. I genuinely enjoy the process of turning complex theory into something that feels natural to play."

By drawing on my 8 years of experience and my foundation in oral traditions I guide you toward a more fluid style. We move beyond simple patterns to explore the deeper mechanics of your instrument.
Using my background at the Old Town School of Folk Music I ensure you understand how to shape your own unique sound. This approach works well for students who want to move past basic chords into sophisticated soloing. We focus on consistent momentum rather than just memorizing rote exercises."
