About Luis Alejandro
I have more than 16 years of experience in music as a performer (multi-instrumentalist), producer, teacher and forever student. From a very young age I started to play the guitar in a self-taught way and I was quickly hooked to see that "I had talent" and my progress was remarkable. Years later I had the opportunity to formally study with national and international teachers such as Rudy Smith and Fernando Martínez Macías and then I understood how crucial it is to have a good teacher accompanying your training. In addition to playing electric and acoustic guitar covering a wide range of genres ranging from rock / pop to jazz, math, progressive, etc., I was interested in studying in depth some of its more complex facets; classical guitar and flamenco, something that took my training, understanding the instrument to another level. Currently I have a recording and production studio and I work as a producer, performer and sessionist, in addition to continuing with my permanent commitment to learn and teach.

Having started studying music self-taught and then having done it formally, I was able to realize how important it is to have a good teacher. Many times we develop bad habits and techniques that can harm our learning, stagnate or even injure us, which usually ends in frustration and abandonment of the instrument. My classes are based on the personality, learning rhythm, level and objectives of each student, as well as the available time they can spend practicing at home. What makes my teaching method more effective is the philosophy that all the knowledge acquired has to be functional, that is, we practice the topics so that they can be applied to immediate and real examples and situations, like a casual dove at a party , so, unlike other teachers, we work a lot on improvisation. As a bonus, I am a graduate in Psychology from the University of Guadalajara, so we can easily find the form of learning that best suits your goals. Communication and the way of working in class will always be pleasant, effective and 100% focused on your progress on the instrument. In addition to guitar, I also teach bass, drums, music theory, and production.
