About Jou
I am a Spanish tutor with 15 years of experience teaching High School and College students. Over this time, I have successfully taught around 150 students, helping them gain confidence in speaking, writing, and understanding Spanish. My teaching philosophy is to make learning practical, interactive, and enjoyable.
I incorporate real-life examples, conversational practice, and cultural insights to create lessons that are both meaningful and engaging. I tailor each lesson to the student’s learning style and pace, ensuring steady progress.
Many of my students have achieved excellent results in exams, improved their fluency, and developed a strong interest in Spanish. I bring creativity, patience, and enthusiasm to every session, striving not only to teach the language but to inspire a lifelong love for it.

My teaching approach for Spanish is ethical, practical, and focused on real-life usage. I aim to help students communicate clearly and confidently in Spanish.
Communication is central to my lessons. Students actively practise speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Flexibility allows lessons to be customised based on goals and learning styles.
Creativity makes learning meaningful. I use storytelling, role plays, interactive tasks, and daily examples to teach language concepts naturally.
Accountability helps learners stay responsible and consistent. I provide clear plans, regular feedback, and progress tracking. Integrity ensures respect, honesty, and trust in every lesson.
Along with Spanish, I teach related subjects such as grammar basics, vocabulary development, pronunciation practice, conversational Spanish, reading comprehension, writing skills, cultural understanding, and basic translation.
