About Jessica
Math is hard and I’ve struggled with it as well. I want to help make math as simple as it can be. Sometimes math really can be simple. My goal is to help you get better test scores and to pass your math classes! You don’t need to know the many theorems that prove why formulas work, you just need to know arithmetic in order to solve a problem. If you struggle with arithmetic, then I will help you be confident in the basics so that the harder math problems are not so difficult. With a basic knowledge of math (arithmetic, multiplication, adding and subtracting), you can learn any other problem.

My teaching method includes showing you how to complete a specific problem, then giving you practice questions until you understand you can complete the problem on your own. As a tutor, I won’t spend much time on teaching you reasons behind a theorem. That takes extra time and effort on both accounts when I believe more time could be spent on solving math problems that you will see on your next math test. I want to help you get better math scores and to be more confident when solving math problems.
