About Joseph
I like to think I make a good tutor because I struggled a lot as a student myself. Most of the material did not come easily and I had to work hard to understand it. Sometimes all it takes is that one teacher to connect with you to turn on that metaphorical lightbulb in a dark room. I am passionate and professional about what I do and I hope to be given the chance to prove it to you.

It's important to start with what the student currently knows and what they can explain to me. Once I know their level and confidence I can begin to create a lesson plan tailored to their interests and learning style. In my opinion, the best way to get better at anything is to practice and see a variety of examples. There's no better feeling as a student than finally getting to that "aha" moment.
