About Erick
Erick Torres is a musician, researcher and cultural manager interested in the interpretation and dissemination of recently created music and art. Among his main interests are the creation and formation of audiences and the democratization of culture. He has specialized in chamber music, he is co-founder of the nationally and internationally awarded chamber group "Tocato Ensamble". Graduated from the Bachelor of Music of the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, he has worked professionally as a collaborator of the Department of Culture of the French Alliance of Puebla since 2019 and mediator of exhibition at Casa ESRU el Carmen since 2020. He is currently a fellow of the Stimuli Program to the Artistic Innovation and Cultural Development IMACP 2020 with the project "Pass, listen and compare". He has been a beneficiary of the Stimulus Program for the Creation and Artistic Development of Puebla (PECDA) in 2019, the Regional Fund for Culture and the Arts (FORCA) to participate in the 2018 Regional Music Show and the Young Researchers grant from the Vice-Rectory for Research and Graduate Studies of BUAP in 2016 and 2017

I like to teach combining practice and theory, to reach a meaningful knowledge I seek that the student assimilate the concepts in a practical way and then structure them in a theoretical way, in this way you can work from experiences and the classes become more dynamic.

Conozco a Erick desde hace varios años y recientemente he comenzado a tomar clases con él. He podido ver el empeño que pone en la planeación y realización de cada una de sus clases. Las actividades que propone corresponden con el avance que uno tiene al momento y siempre busca formas nuevas para hacer la experiencia mejor. La verdad lo recomiendo mucho y tomaría muchas clases con él.
Es un maestro súper paciente y que explica muy bien. He tomado clases de guitarra y teoría musical con él desde hace casi un año y la verdad me ha ayudado un montón, lo recomiendo mucho!
