About Charles
Hi there, I'm Charles, and I'm excited to be your computer science tutor! With a bachelor's degree in business (finance) and computer and information sciences (software development) from Auckland University of Technology (AUT), I'm confident that I have the academic background and technical expertise to help you excel in computer science. I used to be the 2022 President of the AUT Computer Science Club because I'm passionate about sharing my knowledge and skills with others. Additionally, I have worked as a software engineering research assistant at the university, giving me valuable experience in both industry and academia. I also completed a software engineering internship at an edu-tech company, where I gained practical skills and knowledge that I'm excited to share with you. Currently, I work as a software engineer for a vet-tech company, giving me ongoing experience with real-world software development projects. My professional experience, combined with my academic background, makes me uniquely qualified to teach computer science to students of all ages and experience levels. As your tutor, I'm committed to providing you with high-quality instruction that is tailored to your individual needs and learning style. Welcome to my computer science tutoring sessions! My name is Charles, and I'm a tutor with a software development and finance degree from Auckland University of Technology (AUT). I'm also a current software engineer working creating veterinary software. My goal is to make complex topics easy to understand by breaking them down into plain English. Whether you have zero experience or some experience, I'm here to help you improve your skills and knowledge. With my background in software development and finance, I'm confident that I can provide you with valuable insights and practical tips to help you succeed. Excellent! Charles is kind, patient and helped me get a good grasp and understanding of JavaScript concepts I was struggling with. He helped me with a few assignments I was struggling on. Highly recommend.
- Katie has a good attitude towards, and required help with two different tasks, involving JavaScript, Handlebars and some PHP. Considering this is her third week programming, she's grasped some complex topics fairly quickly.Charles's response :
