About Marie-Hélène
15 years teaching French as a Foreign Language (FLE)
My passion for teaching French as a Foreign Language (FLE) has grown over many years. Earlier studies and work in various fields such as IT, human resources, and labor law had nothing to do with teaching French. In my spare time I started doing volunteer work which serendipitously led to teaching French.
My new career began, bit by bit. I earned diplomas in FLE and have now been teaching French as a Foreign Language online for many years.
I currently offer classes in conversational French for adults and young adults at the A2 to B2 level.
My FLE diplomas
• Université de Grenoble, FLE diploma
• Alliance Française teaching methodology modules:
• FLE general didactics
• FLE teaching linguistics applications
• Teaching civilization and literature methods

It’s been my pleasure to study with Marie-Hélène for about 2 years. I’ve made excellent progress and now am much more self-confident. She’s focused, attentive, patient, and cheerful, often sharing fascinating historical, literary, and musical insights. At the end of each class, I’ve learned something new. Step by step, under her direction, I improve. She’s a wonderful teacher and I recommend her without reservation. Don, California, USA.
Great teacher with a lot of patience! She helped a lot with my prononciation and my presentations ! I highly recommend her! Thanks Marie!
Marie-Helen is an exceptional French teacher! Creating custom approaches on my needs she managed to unlock me and make me feel confident to speak and write in French after years of having a B2 certification without use! She is extremely friendly, kind and very patient, always finding new ways to make the learning experience an enjoyable time!
