About Nick Stephan
I am a graduate of Digital Animation from Duoc Uc, a 3D generalist artist, with particular taste for the generation of 3D assets and their textures (and how to optimize these elements for Video Games and real time, as theoretically and technically correct as possible), with extensive knowledge regarding this area, in addition to rigging, animation, among others.
Why?
Maybe you've already graduated from a degree and don't want to re-enter a university or pay for an extremely pocket-friendly course (let's be honest) just to learn certain things, or maybe you don't have knowledge but want to learn , or you are in a middle ground and need some kind of support, maybe you are simply intrigued and want to absorb knowledge and skills that will serve you in the future. I have always liked to teach what I know and support who needs it, be it a person I do not know, or anyone i have the chance to help, such as former colleagues from school, university and colleagues in the workplace, we are all the same, nobody is more nor less for knowing or not knowing something. Knowledge should be more accessible to everyone, and that is why I am going to give you the best I can, to help you grow with my knowledge, with reasonable values. You will not get certification or a title, but you will get knowledge.

What will you learn?
How to create 3D elements (Inanimate hard surface objects and techniques that allow you to sculpt details to a model, you will learn to create your own alphas (to be able to create elements such as texts, stickers, engravings , complex patterns to sculpt by hand, among others) to be able to project them directly on your sculpture in Zbrush and / or in Substance Painter (program oriented to texturing), some tips regarding Zbrush and how to be able to work in a less destructive way through the use of Sculpting Layers in said program, elements such as dynamesh, subdividing, projection, decimating. You will learn about topology and re-topology (if the opportunity arises, it is not a course exclusively oriented to this matter), uv unwrapping and layout (including an explanation regarding texel density), to finally learn how to texturize in Substance painter, using tools such as masks, id's, mesh maps (projections by baking an object 3d high poly to low poly) and how to take advantage of them, anchors, among others. And finally, what are the lod's, what are they for, and how to create them, among other things! You will learn about what tiling textures are, how to use them and what they are for, what are modular packs / props (with textures) and what they are for, among others.
The classes are aimed at both beginners and people who already have knowledge and notions and want to go a little deeper, as well as who has more advanced knowledge and would like a review, or learn something extra.
Classes will be held through Discord or Google Meet, to be agreed .
We will first learn theory, why, what for, and what each element is, and then put that knowledge into practice, where you will receive guidance and feedback if necessary.
You will leave this course with much more knowledge and skills put into practice, going through the entire process of creating a 3D element as well optimized as possible with its textures, oriented for real time / video games, as well as for audiovisual projects and with the necessary knowledge to be able to work as a freelance 3D artist, or to create your own projects, or even if you want to print your own models with a 3D printer (3D printing not taught, but the knowledge is applicable).
Programs you will need: Zbrush, Photoshop (If you have gimp and you can apply what will be taught there, no problem), Blender (free), and Substance Painter.
