About Kevin
The philosophy I have is that like with history, we are learning new things every day. Archeologists, historians, teachers and students. Learning to adapt and grow is a prized skill that we will both succeed in! I believe in serving you: that means responding to questions post session on time, giving you mental health check in if need be, and allowing you to critically challenge what you are studying.
My Qualifications:
-Graduated college with a degree in History as Cum Laude at California State San Marcos
-Volunteering experience in classroom setting
-Assisted in building a lesson plan for my online schooling internship

Teaching is not memorization. It's application and discovery of knowledge that gives you ultimate life perspective. Such techniques to learn include, compare and contrast, video clips, games, and student expression to name a few. The key to teaching is building a relationship with the student and using their strengths to enhance their learning. I believe in communication, respect, grace, and ultimately fun. The lessons are for 6th-10th grade, which include world history (ancient to modern era) and US history (colonial to Modern America). In summary, I love history and want to show you the spark of interest it gave me.
