About Ansley
Hello my name is Ansley, I am a harpist coming from Hong Kong. I graduated my bachelor degree from the Royal College of Music and am continuing my Master study now. I was passionate about playing music and started learning the harp and piano from the age of 5.
I studied at the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts since 2011 and have been awarded the tuition scholarship since 2016. I have attended a lot of performances and competitions regularly in different places such as, London, Japan, Italy. I joined the Hong Kong Youth Symphony Orchestra under the Music Office, Leisure and Cultural Service Department, HKSAR and have been the harp principal since 2017. After graduating from the junior programme, I continued my studies at Colburn Academy 2019.
I play regularly with the RCM Symphony Orchestra which expands my experience in performing.
In my own time, I love spending time with my two sisters, therefore, I really enjoy teaching and expressing my musical ideas with my students.

In our lessons, we will be focusing on harp technique and music theory. In the first lesson we will assess each student’s progress, posture and hand position. I will listen to student’s playing to understand their current level, discuss goals and introduce exercises and music suited to their level.
