About Amy
I am a recent graduate from Northumbria University with a MSc in Mechanical Engineering and BEng in Mechanical and Architectural Engineering. I found my love for teaching when working with two students who had failed their GCSE maths multiple times. Seeing their confidence grow and develop into being able to answer very difficult questions with ease, was one of the most rewarding things I have ever experienced. This led me to pursuing private teaching as a full time job

My teaching style is completely tailored to you and your needs. I like to use the first session to assess your ability and develop a plan to help you achieve your academic goals. Aside from the core subject tutoring I also like to work on exam preparation techniques so that you feel as confident as possible going into your exams. I have worked with students of all ages and abilities, so understand that it may take several different approaches and methods to really make the subject click. I encourage all my students to ask questions and talk to me if they don't understand, so that we can find a way to make it make sense. Exam board experience at GCSE level: AQA, Edexcel and OCR.
