Garry was an exemplary student in my graduate-level Leading Teams, a required course in the Masters of Leadership program. I gained great respect, admiration and appreciation of Garry's strong commitment to academia, as well as his personal commitment to succeed.
He espouses qualities of dedication, determination and tenacity. Garry brings these qualities in his can-do attitude; he graciously imparts his spirit and experiences to his other students. When I reflect on my time with Garry, there are resounding qualities of leadership he demonstrates in the classroom; he was exceptional in his guidance to and enthusiasm with our international student population. Based on my interactions with Garry, I have easily determined that he is not the type of person who simply seeks to accomplish an assignment or a task; rather, he excels at everything expected of him and every challenge posed to him.
I wholeheartedly, and without any reservation, would recommend Garry where he can and will apply his exemplary graduate academic credentials, real-world experience, leadership skills, and contagious spirit in any environment, academia or the professional workplace.Garry was a student in "Current Issues in Health Service Management". The course includes diverse topics such as ethical, legal, and practical approaches to healthcare decision-making. Garry was an active participant in the class, regularly sharing his opinions.
I also worked with Garry this term in "Managing Health Services Organizations 1". The course focuses on developing the ability to identify, describe and apply fundamental management methods and tools and recognizing legal, ethical and behavioral requirements and constraints in the administration of health care programs and organizations. Garry completed his assignments on time and strived to learn as much as he could during the course. He earned an A this term. Assignments included case studies. Garry was able to complete the case studies using the knowledge he learned in class.
In both classes, Garry was timely with his assignments and was a willing participant. He willingly shared information with his peers.I had the pleasure of teaching Garry for Medical Terminology. Garry was an excellent student, who brought enthusiasm and a willingness to learn to the classroom. Garry excelled in class and had an excellent grasp of what it takes to succeed in college. Garry is a motivated person who always gives one hundred percent. Garry was a tutor for other students in Medical Terminology and did an outstanding job working with other students struggling to learn the material. I have the highest regard for Garry and I know he will accomplish all of his goals.
Garry has volunteered in the Medical Records departments at The Dimrock Center for 5 years. He has done an excellent job organizing files in an alphabetical and numerical order and moving files from storage to storage, preparing charts for patients for doctors' appointments, pulling and putting charts in their respective locations in shelves, and learning from the new software program: ECW (EClinicalWorks). He is very detail-oriented and very neat and organized as well. In addition, he is punctual, honest and respectful.
