About Ivette
My name is Ivette Jimenez, and I am a graduate of Cal State Fullerton with a Bachelor's in English. My past tutoring experiences involve helping my peers with their own essays and papers, and I assist others expand on their own ideas and understanding.
As a visual learner, my lessons are based off of visuals and diagrams. When assisting in essay writing, this usually means the lessons will focus more on outlining and organizing ideas rather than worrying about precise wording or individual sentences.
I am best at helping with writing, but I am qualified at going over more general topics or lesson plans as well.

Lesson plans and times will be centered around the student and what best suites them. Although English is centered around reading and writing, my usual approach towards the subject does involve a lot of visual aid and diagrams.
A typical lesson plan would first involve addressing the assignment or topic that the student needs assistance with. For an assignment or essay, the student and I would establish what the instructions are and work out an outline of how to complete it. For a more general topic or review, I would need to learn how the student best receives information and tailor my lesson to their learning style.
My lessons are better for high school and college level students due to my strengths in text analysis and essay writing, but I am confident in my ability to tutor the more general and foundational topics taught at younger ages.
